Dave Forestell appointed new Chair of AGCO Board of Directors

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has announced the appointment of Dave Forestell as Chair of its Board of Directors.

Forestell was appointed to the Board in 2018, before being promoted to Chair. He was also the Chair for, AGCO subsidiary, iGaming Toronto and had been since 2021.

However, to fully commit to his new role at AGCO, Forestell has stepped down as Chair at iGaming Toronto.

He is also currently serving on the Board of Governors for the Ontario College of Art and Design University.

The process is underway to appoint a new Chair for iGaming Toronto.

Forestell will be replacing Lalit Aggarwal, who announced his resignation from his role to spend more time with his family and to focus on his business affairs, outside of the AGCO.

Forestell has experience working in both the Government and public sectors at an executive level.

The new Chair began his executive career in 2008,Play Casino Online where he worked as VP for Ontario PC Party for two years until 2010. He then went on to work as a Policy Advisor and Staff Director at the Office of the Prime Minister in Ottawa from 2009-2012.

After that, he worked as Acting Executive Director and Senior Advisor to the Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada between 2013-2015.

Forestell did a brief stint in his first role as Chair at the Compañia Minera Casale Board of Directors from 2015-2017 before working as VP at Barrick Gold Corporation from 2014-2018.

He worked at Scotiabank from 2018-2022, starting as VP at the Office of the CEO, before getting promoted to VP in 2021.

After Scotiabank, he worked as VP of Canada External Relations at TC Energy from 2022 until now, where he works as Chair at the AGCO.
